Ajman Water Sports

Jetski, kayak, paddleboard and fish along a 16-kilometre beach

  • Sessions from 30 minutes; half-day fishing trips available

Ajman’s coastline is unusually well suited to time on the water: sixteen kilometres of white-sand beach, clear lagoons, sheltered mangrove channels and reliable sunshine through most of the year. The result is a coast that works for a first-timer on a paddleboard and for someone who wants a jetski out past the break, without either getting in the other’s way.

What Is on Offer

Along the beachfront, the larger hotels run the bulk of the organised activity — stand-up paddleboarding, windsurfing, jetski hire, flyboarding, kayaking, banana boat rides and fishing trips among them. Deep-sea fishing excursions and diving trips run further out, and recreational sailing and boat charters can be arranged for longer days on the water.

Booking On Arrival

Everything is concentrated along the coastline, and the practical route in is the tour operator desks in the five-star hotels or those along the beach Corniche. At Al Zorah, to the north of the city, the first of four planned marinas and a dedicated watersports centre will add open-water and creekside options — diving, sailing, canoeing and kite-surfing — alongside the beachfront resort development there.
