Yes. A UAE tourist visa can be converted to a work visa, subject to securing employment within the UAE. The hiring employer must act as your sponsor and process the employment visa application on your behalf through the relevant UAE authorities.
Overstaying a UAE visa carries a fine of AED 50 per day from the date of expiry. If the overstay period exceeds 4 days, the case may be reported as absconding, which can result in a permanent ban from re-entering the UAE.
A UAE transit visa is required if your layover exceeds 8 hours and you intend to leave the airport during transit. Travelers remaining within the airport for shorter layovers do not require a transit visa.
Health insurance is not a mandatory requirement for obtaining a UAE tourist or visit visa. Medical tests are also not required as part of the standard visa application process for short-term visits.
