What It Is

What Is a 30-Day Single Entry UAE Visit Visa?

A 30-day single entry UAE visit visa allows you to enter the United Arab Emirates once and remain for up to 30 days from the date of your arrival. The visa is valid for 60 days from the date it is issued, which gives you a window to choose when you travel.

Once inside the UAE, you are free to visit any of the seven emirates. If you leave the UAE at any point during your stay, the visa is no longer valid and cannot be used to re-enter. This visa is used for tourism, family visits, short business trips, attending events and exhibitions, and other short-duration purposes. Employment and long-term business activities are not permitted on this visa. govr.ae is a licensed UAE visa platform that processes your application through official UAE immigration channels, reviewing every document before submission to reduce the risk of errors or delays.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about the Apply for a 30-Day UAE Single Entry Visit Visa Online

Yes. A 30-day UAE visit visa can be extended inside the UAE, subject to UAE immigration conditions and applicable fees at the time of the extension request. Any extension must be applied for before your current visa expires. The decision to grant an extension rests with the UAE immigration authority and cannot be guaranteed in advance. If your circumstances change and you need more time in the UAE, it is important to begin the extension process well before your visa expiry date.

The 30-day UAE visit visa is available to most international travellers. It is used by tourists planning a holiday in the UAE, people visiting family or friends, professionals attending short business meetings or conferences, and those travelling to attend events or exhibitions in the country. Nationals of certain countries may be eligible for a visa on arrival or a visa-free arrangement and may not need to apply in advance. If you are unsure of your eligibility, the govr.ae team can advise you based on your nationality before you begin your application.

Under standard processing, a 30-day UAE visit visa is approved within 1 to 3 working days, provided all required documents are submitted correctly. If you are travelling soon and need your visa faster, urgent processing is available and is completed within 36 hours on working days. Applications submitted on weekends or public holidays may take slightly longer regardless of the processing option. govr.ae reviews every document before submission, which reduces the likelihood of delays caused by incomplete or unclear paperwork.

The 30-day UAE visit visa does not permit employment or any paid professional activity inside the UAE. It is issued strictly for tourism, family visits, short business meetings and similar short-stay purposes. If you intend to take up employment in the UAE, you will need a separate employment visa sponsored by your UAE employer through the relevant UAE labour authority. Working on a visit visa is a violation of UAE immigration regulations.

Overstaying a UAE visit visa results in fines from the date your visa expires. Under the current UAE immigration rules, there is no grace period and penalties begin immediately after the expiry date. If your stay needs to be extended, the correct course of action is to apply for an extension before your visa expires rather than remaining in the country beyond your permitted period. Read about UAE visa overstay rules.

Once your 30-day UAE visit visa is approved, govr.ae sends it to you as a digital PDF to the email address and WhatsApp number provided during your application. You do not need a physical stamp or sticker in your passport. At the airport, you can present your e-visa on your phone screen or as a printed copy at the immigration counter. It is advisable to save the PDF to your device before travelling in case you do not have internet access at the airport.
